What your first visit will entail

An initial visit with our Pedorthist, Jacob Simpson, will usually last between 30-40 min. 

A medical history will be taken, followed by weight bearing and non weight bearing testing. Weight bearing testing will consist of observing posture, special muscle testing and a biomechanical analysis, in which Jacob will observe the client through their whole gait process, looking for any deviation from the standard gait pattern. 

The Pedorthist also does a footwear analysis to check wear patterns on the shoes, as this is often a good indicator of the underlying injury. Once we have decided if custom orthotics would be beneficial for your specific issue, a foam box impression will be taken to start the manufacturing process.
